Buddy Dancing!
Last week the Performing Arts Leaders ran a dance class for our buddies. This was held in the Music room on a Friday lunch time. The song that we chose was "Shake It Off" by Taylor Swift. Our buddies brought their lunch to eat with us and joined in when they were ready. We thought this was a really good way to get involved with our Buddies. We got some help from some of the other Year 8 leaders, Megan, Niamh and Meg. Overall our Buddies really enjoyed it and we would definitely do this again!!

Science with the Proscope
In science the other day we learnt how to use the Proscope. We looked at the different sized magnification on the Proscope. We look at some flowers and used the Proscope to look at them closely the Proscope helps us look up close at the flower and so that we can see in the middle of them !! We all really enjoyed using the Proscope. We all got got goes with it. Have you ever used a Proscope?

ISSA Zones Swimming Sports
Last week, the top two placing girls in each event at our school swimming sports went and represented our school against the other Independent schools from around Christchurch. This competition is called Zones, and we are pleased to say that all of our girls did really well! Out of everyone, the girls who place in the top two in the finals, go on to the Canterburys, out of the whole of Canterbury. We wish those girls who have made it to Canterburys the best of luck!
